7th Annual Irish Criminal Justice Agencies Conference

The 7th Annual Irish Criminal Justice Agencies (ICJA) Conference will take place from 8.45 am to 4.45 pm on Tuesday, 28th July, 2020, in the Conference Centre at Dublin Castle. The theme for this year’s conference is “Protecting the Human Rights of Vulnerable Suspects and Offenders: Defining, Identifying and Responding to Vulnerabilities” (working title).

This one-day conference is a collaboration of the Department of Justice and Equality, the Policing Authority, the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, the Irish Prison Service, the Irish Youth Justice Service (IYJS), An Garda Síochána, The Probation Service, the Courts Service, the Garda Síochána Inspectorate, the Office of the Revenue Commissioners and the Association for Criminal Justice Research and Development (ACJRD). The lead partner for 2020 is the Policing Authority.

This conference will appeal to policy makers, those working in government agencies, professionals, practitioners, academics and those involved in community and civil society groups from a wide range of disciplines within the Criminal Justice System.
