Mental Health Seminar 27th June 2013

ACJRD and the ACJRD Mental Health Working Group held a Mental Health Seminar entitled Mental Health in the Criminal Justice System: Legal Trends and Research Results at the Lecture Theatre, Education Centre, Law Society of Ireland, on Thursday 27th June 2013 at 6.00pm.

Mental Health in the Criminal Justice System: Research Update

- Dr. Conor O'Neill, Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist, Central Mental Hospital

Dr.O'Neill's presentation summarised the findings of the recent report entitled: Implementing a court diversion and liaison scheme in a remand prison by systematic screening of new receptions: a 6 year participatory action research study of 20,084 consecutive male remands McInerney C, Davoren M, Flynn G, Mullins D, Fitzpatrick M, Caddow M, Caddow F, Quigley S, Black F, Kennedy HG, O'Neill C International Journal of Mental Health Systems 2013, 7:18 (25 June 2013).
